Madrid - Karim Benzema was the star of Real Madrid victory over Real Sociedad through two goals made. Benzema appearance was getting praise from coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Madrid appear without their main star, Cristiano Ronaldo, as host Sociedad at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday (01/31/2015). Without Ronaldo, front line Los Blancos filled James Rodriguez, Benzema, and Gareth Bale.
Although there is no Ronaldo on the field, Madrid still able to win 4-1 with goals from James Rodriguez, Sergio Ramos and Benzema (two goals). They were previously missed by the first quick goal Aritz Elustondo.
"Benzema played fantastic. He's got a very good quality and very effective. He's got a lot of shots on goal," said Ancelotti to Benzema, as quoted by Football Espana.
Ancelotti specifically praised Benzema's second goal, which was created through a curling shot after Benzema played a one-two with Isco.
"Goals are both highly qualified. It was a good shot. But, we also have to praise him for the style of the game and how he helped the team. He is not a striker who just stood in the penalty box, but he traveled through the field," said Ancelotti.
Benzema has packed a total of 17 goals during the season 2014/2015. He only lost productive than Ronaldo who already make 36 goals.
