Manchester - Highly synonymous with Manchester United's Paul Scholes did not make hesitate to support his former rivals, Manchester City.
Scholes support City beat Barcelona in the Champions League last 16.
Scholes career as a professional footballer, 1993-2013, was spent at Old Trafford.
In that same place 40-year-old British man is showing off the action, so a top footballer, and hailed the fans of Manchester United over two decades.
After no longer active play Scholes turned-commentator and observer football. In that capacity he now throws support to City which is the weight of his former enemies for himself.
"I sponsor Manchester City to get rid of Barcelona from the Champions League in the two-leg encounter," Scholes wrote in his column in the Independent.
"That is of course a lot depends on the performance of both teams and the injuries of players at the end of January, but I think the approach that has been used (City Manager) Manuel Pellegrini against AS Roma (in the group phase) is working properly.
"It means that he will start with the midfield cored Fernando, Fernandinho, and James Milner, and then choose the other players around the three to make the scheme work," the analysis.
