Dortmund - Juergen Klopp welcomed Marco Reus the decision to extend the contract with Borussia Dortmund. Klopp was never in doubt that Reus will stay for long time in Dortmund.
The future of Reus in Dortmund almost always be speculation to be associated with several clubs such as Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Question marks about the future of Reus at the Signal Iduna Park Dortmund more prominent after falling into the degradation zone.
However Reus broke all the growing speculation about him that by extending his contract with Dortmund. German international player signed a new contract that is valid until 2019.
Reus decision to sign a new contract was not made Klopp wonder. Now he hopes to Reus can help Dortmund to get out of trouble.
"It shows that Marco believe that we will fix it. Marco believe in a successful future with Dortmund, and I hope we'll see it tomorrow night," Klopp said as quoted by Soccerway.
"I'm so glad he made the decision as early as this. It is an important signal for us all. I am very happy for him, there was never any reason to doubt it," said Klopp.
"Yesterday he got applause in the locker room, which is more important now is that he got it again at the stadium on Friday," he added.
Dortmund is trying to first home win over new year when host Mainz in the Bundesliga continued on Friday (02/13/2015) local time.
